If you can answer “Yes” to these two questions, then our Dual Apprenticeship program  is just for you! As you are probably already aware, going to college can be quite expensive. With Haering’s Dual Apprenticeship Program, not only will you gain the perfect combination of theoretical knowledge and practical experience, you will also start earning a paycheck from day one! As we are partnered with North Georgia Technical College in Clarkesville, Georgia, this program will allow you the opportunity to spend two days per week on their Campus, learning the basics and theory of CNC technology. For the remaining three days of the week, you will work alongside us at the Haering Academy in Lavonia, Georgia, as well as directly in our various production departments. During your time in the Haering Academy, you will  build on the knowledge that you have gained from your time at North Georgia Technical College, while being guided by trained professionals from the precision part industry, on high-tech, state of the art, equipment. 

Your apprenticeship as a CNC Technician will be a 3.5 year program, during which you will follow a curriculum. During your time spent in the Haering Academy, you will learn the basics of various manufacturing processes  on both conventional and CNC machines. Candidates will learn the many different aspects that go into this precision driven career field, such as, modern manufacturing processes, automation processes, robot-assisted production processes, tooling technology and quality assurance,  from a team of industry experts , who have the experience necessary to prepare you for a successful career within our international organization. Upon completion of the vocational training, you will have learned, in theory and in practice, everything that a specialist of tomorrow needs in order to help us continue delivering our products to our customers around the globe.

Your tasks:

• You will  gain an understanding of our operational processes, from material storage through production, to quality and shipping. 
• You will gain extensive knowledge of various materials, their properties and their processing options (machining processes, manufacturing technology and techniques, materials science and technical documentation).
• You will process materials  manually and / or with computer-controlled machining centers.
• You will monitor and optimize production processes.
